A Developmental Home is a residential setting in a family home in which a licensed caregiver provides 24-hour care and supervision for up to three individuals with developmental disabilities. Services include room and board, habilitation, providing appropriate personal care and supervision. Child Developmental Homes serve individuals under the age of 18. Adult Developmental Homes serve individuals ages 18 and over. This service is to develop and implement strategies for recruitment, training, home studies, technical assistance, support, oversight, recommendation for licensing, re-licensing of homes and methods for monitoring and retention of homes that protect the physical, emotional, social and mental well- being of the member.
This time-limited service is tailored for Members who have been identified as requiring intensive behavioral support or have legal restrictions imposed for the safety of both the individual and the community. It facilitates the Member’s choice to live in and engage with community opportunities through services provided in their group home. Members residing in enhanced behavioral group homes receive a range of interventions aimed at maximizing their independence, including but not limited to habilitative therapies, skill development, behavior intervention, sensorimotor development, and behavior support. This service also aids in transitioning the Member to less restrictive services when clinically appropriate.
This is a 24-hour day service that provides for a safe and healthy living environment that meets the physical, emotional needs of the member and is culturally appropriate. The service goal is to provide a residential environment that is dignified and in a “family based” setting, which ensures a safe and healthy living arrangement for the member. CMHS will ensure that household and personal hygiene supplies are available for the member’s use and three (3) nutritious meals per day and appropriate snacks are planned, prepared, and served to meet the member’s needs and in conjunction with the member’s preference in accordance with United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) dietary guidelines at http://www.cnpp.usda.gov/dietaryguidelines.htm. Member/ member rep. are encouraged to participate/get involve in the furnishings/decor of the member’s personal space within the family household.
